Follow the steps below to properly use this website:
- upload all your .vmr files you are using on the input above;
- order the uploaded files using the arrows with the same order as in your vPilot settings;
- click the submit button to get the results;
- analyze how your rules are performing in different scenarios by filtering the results columns alone or combined:
- callsign ➜ search a specific callsign (e.g. ITY1396), registration (e.g. I-MOLA) or an airline ICAO code (e.g. AZA);
- airline ➜ search a specific airline full name (e.g. ITA Airways);
- aircraft type ➜ search a specific aircraft type (e.g. A359) or a group of them (e.g. B37);
- region ➜ search a specific region (e.g. Southern Europe) or a continent (e.g. Europe);
-
number of passes
➜ search for the number of passes made to find the rule for the flight (1 to 4, 4 is also displayed when there is not a rule for the flight);
vPilot documentation ↗
- file covering the rule ➜ search a specific .vmr file (e.g. my-rule-file.vmr) or all the flights not covered by typing "Rule not covered" or better by using the toggle on the right of the search box;
- rule covering the flight ➜ search a specific rule or something inside it: a useful scenario is searching for a specific model (e.g. AIGAIM_Alitalia Airbus A320-200).
This website has been created to help Vatsim and vPilot users to get a better experience on the
network by provide a simple tool to assist users in model matching.
If you are just curious to know how good you are doing in model matching or you are trying to improve
your rules you are in the right place.
Here you can filter Vatsim flights to easily see what models you are missing and ultimately download
them or create new rules for them.
Why are there x online flights but only y are shown?
Currently only flights that specifies an aircraft type are processed because I could not find in the documentation how those flights are handled.
Will a flight not covered be shown?
Yes, it will. The only difference it that vPilot won't use a rule to determinate what model to use,
but it will pick it based on a internal database. More info in the documentation.
